A sign that came from a collection of artefacts that were stripped from HMS Orpheus and Oberon Class of submarine from the Royal Navy.
HMS Orpheus (S11) was an Oberon-class submarine of the Royal Navy, launched in 1959 and commissioned in 1960. Built at Vickers-Armstrongs, Barrow-in-Furness, she served during the Cold War, specialising in surveillance and training. Known for her quietness and advanced sensors, she operated worldwide before decommissioning in 1987. She was later scrapped, marking nearly three decades of service.
