Chadburns Revolutions Telegraph from HMS Llandaff

An important original fitting that we salvaged from HMS Llandaff, one of the very last pre 1960 RN warships to have survived into the 21st century until She was scrapped in Bangladesh last year

Sadly, like many RN engine room telegraphs the glass indicators were long gone and had been replaced by metal plate onboard, performance is good though in that one revolution of the wheel equals one change in the orders

The wheel is bakelite as was nigh on all post war engine room telegraphs

Salvaged from BNS Umar Farooq formally HMS Llandaff , she served with the Royal Navy from 1958 to 1976

In December 1976, she was transferred to the Bangladesh Navy

BNS Umar Farooq was a Salisbury-class frigate of the Bangladesh Navy. She was the first frigate to enter service with the Bangladesh Navy
