Salvaged from BNS Umar Farooq formally HMS Llandaff , she served with the Royal Navy from 1958 to 1976.

In December 1976, she was transferred to the Bangladesh Navy.

BNS Umar Farooq was a Salisbury-class frigate of the Bangladesh Navy. She was the first frigate to enter service with the Bangladesh Navy.

The Bangladesh Navy updated most of the wheelhouse equipment soon after she was transferred from the Royal Navy, but kept these units.

Made by Alfred Graham & Co Ltd , Halifax Yorkshire. An Admiralty pattern number of 12584A.

Umar Farooq was deployed to support operations off the Bangladeshi coast, such as anti-piracy and anti-smuggling operations, as well as search and rescue deployments.

Professionally stripped and polished of it war paint, we salvaged several items from her when she was broken up.
