Ships lights don’t get much more special than this; huge, gorgeous bronze ‘Runway Lamps’ from the huge, gorgeous Clemenceau, the lead in Her class of Aircraft Carriers and the pride of the French Navy from 1961 to 1997.

When She was scrapped in 2010, we salvaged lots of fittings from the Clemenceau and the stunning lamps from the flight deck were amongst them.

A good friend instantly bought them all for a project that in the end never materialised so I was delighted to buy them back last year and am now putting them through a complete overhaul and making them available for sale, I’m keeping one though!

3125 days at sea and a million miles travelled, now ready for retirement and being cherished.

Stunning 17kg of bronze, the photos are hard to show the quality and design of this superb light.
