Original Royal Navy HMS Frobisher screen badge 

HMS Frobisher was a Royal Navy Hawkins Class Heavy Cruiser

Built Devonport Dockyard , launched 1920 commissioned 1924

In 1924 HMS Frobisher served the Mediterranean Fleet as flagship of the 1st Cruiser Squadron , converted in 1930 to a cadet’s Training Ship, in which role she served from 1932 until 1939.

At the outbreak of World War Two,  HMS Frobisher started an extensive refit, that rearmed her with some serious fire power, She was involved in Operation Neptune on 6 June as a member of Gunfire Bombardment Support Force D allocated to Sword Beach in the D-Day landings.

Sold to John Cashmore Ltd for scrap in 1949.
