Large USA Navy Bronze Portholes – 21” Diameter

A year ago we salvaged a good quantity of these from an American built ship, and the first ones are starting to come back from our Restoration Dept

Cast in gorgeous gun-metal bronze, a lavish material favoured by American makers of ships fittings, these are among the best portholes we find. It’s sad that, due to the extremely high cost of manufacture, nobody will ever make them again, they are indeed an endangered species

Reclaimed, stripped and fully refurbished. If the original glass had scuffs or scratches we have replaced with marine grade toughened glass

If used externally the bronze will dull to a beautiful greenish verdigris patina due to the high copper content of the bronze

Flush front and deep collar in the reverse to fit inside the recess
