MV Shemara is a 65 metre superyacht so beloved by the notorious Lord & Lady Docker in the 1950s & 60s

She was built by Thorneycroft in Southampton and launched in 1938. Shemara became famous in the 1950-60s as a party palace for the very lavish and social Dockers.

The gracelessly gaudy pair entertained the nation , through the tabloid newspapers of the day , with a succession of fancy cars, mink coats and champagne receptions on board the yacht

In 1965 Shemara was sold for £290,000 to reclusive property tycoon Henry Hyams, who left her sitting in Lowestoft for twenty years and according to crew rumours, he did not use her

This card table is from the post WWII refit
