N & C Guillon Nantes Porcelain Comport – 1900 Ernest Reyer

Ernest Reyer was a Jubilee steel rigged barque , built in 1900 for Norbert & Claude Guillon, Societe Novelle D’Armenent, Nantes France

Launched in 1900 by Chaniters de la Loire, the Ernest Reyer was sent from Madagascar to Oregan , in 1901 she arrived at teh entrance to the Columbia River and on finding it impassable she was run aground at the mouth of the Qui Ni Hult River, Washington. The crew were saved but sadly she became a total loss after a couple of days

The comport has a blue glazed border and hand painted shipping line flag along with the ships pennant
