Salvaged from BNS Umar Farooq formally HMS Llandaff , she served with the Royal Navy from 1958 to 1976.

Professionally stripped off its MoD paintwork and polished, these ship’s radio antenna’s make a striking feature.

In December 1976, she was transferred to the Bangladesh Navy.

BNS Umar Farooq was a Salisbury-class frigate of the Bangladesh Navy. She was the first frigate to enter service with the Bangladesh Navy.

The Bangladesh Navy updated the wheelhouse equipment soon after she was transferred from the Royal Navy, which is why this is aluminium and made by a Japanese company.

Umar Farooq was deployed to support operations off the Bangladeshi coast, such as anti-piracy and anti-smuggling operations, as well as search and rescue deployments.
