HMS Bern was a MS Trawler of the Isles class.
Built by Cook, Welton & Gemmill, Beverley
Brass crown top bell , complete with clanger and lanyard.
MoD broad arrow mark on the back.
HMS Bern is still in service 1949 as wreck disposal vessel (DV4)
The Isles-class trawlers were a class of naval trawler used by the Royal Navy, Royal Canadian Navy and Royal New Zealand Navy during World War II. They were mainly used on minesweeping and harbour defence duties.
Postwar, HMS Bern along with 16 other Isles class trawlers were disarmed and employed as wreck disposal vessels.
