Original Royal Navy WW1 Ship’s Bell – HMS Wistaria 1915

HMS Wistaria was one of 36 Arabis Class fleet minesweeping sloops

Built by Irvine’s Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company and launched in 1915

HMS Wistaria was re-commissioned at Bermuda in 1923 for service on the North America and West Indies Station and again in Bermuda in 1928 for service on the America and West Indies Station

HMS Wisteria was equipped with asdic apparatus and depth charges for the detection and destruction of German submarines

Sold for breaking up 18 January 1931

A few cosmetic cracks around the mouth , no clanger , but overall an exception WW1 Royal Navy bell

Some aged damage & cracks around the mouth , more suited as an exceptional collectable HMS bell
