HMS Resolution was a Revenge Class Battleship
Built by Palmers Shipbuilding and Iron Company, Jarrow
Unofficial as the badge pre dates the standardisation of all Royal Navy badges that came into effect in 1919 . After 1919 the badges and tampion’s were standardised and all the same pattern, prior to this a ship could have a variety of different badges at any one time
During World War Two in 1939, HMS Resolution was assigned to the Channel Force before being transferred to convoy escort duties in the North Atlantic. In 1940, she participated in the Battles of Narvik until German air attacks drove her off
HMS Resolution returned to Britain in 1943 and was decommissioned, seeing service with the training establishment HMS Imperieuse
In 1948, she was sold for scrap, and broken up at Faslane
