Trinity House Pilot Vessel Mounted Bell Circa 1938
The finest and most magnificent bell hangar we have ever found.
In the form of two Admiralty dolphins, crested with a Trinity House rampant Lion at the top.
This cradle is the original hangar for the bell of Trinity House 1938 pilot vessel – Bembridge.
Bembridge was built in 1938. The hangar was made to a standard size, so perfectly accommodating its sister ships bell.
The bronze ships bell is from the Trinity House pilot vessel – Patrol built in 1961.
This superb antique is from the estate of Andrew Adams, the younger brother of Trinity House, Harwich Haven pilot and Aide de Camp to the Queen.
Bronze ships bell with cast bronze hangar , mounted on a teak plinth.
