WWI William Browning Ships Bell – Admiralty 3648
William Browning was a Strath Type Trawler. She was built in June 1917 by Hall Russell Aberdeen.
In WWI she was used by the Admiralty and given the 3648, as a hydrophone support vessel.
Crewed by 15 up to 18 people with wireless.
Later taken over by the Admiralty in February 1940, and renamed HMS Madden.
She became a wreck dispersal vessel in March 1944.
