The King of all ships lanterns in our opinion, salvaged at great peril & expense from one of our Royal Navy’s most important ships, Falklands hero, HMS Hermes (R12)
This was the lantern used to send Morse code signals to other ships in a relatively secure way, especially useful during periods of radio silence.
This was the Lantern from Starboard side situated on the Comms Deck and is dated 1969.
Francis are the ‘Rolls Royce’ of signal lamps makers, used by the Royal Navy through both World Wars and recently trusted by most Navies around the World.

Wired with inline switch and UK plug, ready to go, supplied with bulb but we suggest a colour changing bulb would add an extra element of fun. Floor or table mounted ..

These items are exclusive to Trinity Marine, as we were the only company that was allowed onboard to salvage significant quantities of artefacts from the Hermes in the same way as we were with other RN carriers we were appointed to, such as; HMS Ark Royal and HMS Vengeance, as well as other ships of the Royal Navy, HMS Cornwall, Plymouth, LLandaff, Fearless to name just a few.

Along with this iconic Francis signal lantern,  you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity to accompany your investment. Keep that safe as the value of this item will only go up in time
