HMS Vindictive Boat Badge – 1918

HMS Vindictive was a Seaplane Carrier built 1918, a converted Effingham Class Cruiser , converted back in 1924.

She was the first Royal Navy cruiser fitted with catapult equipment.

HMS Vindictive subsequently became a training ship in 1937, and repair ship in 1939 till the end of the war.

Unofficial badge design,  as the badge pre dates the standardisation of all Royal Navy badges that came into effect in 1919.

She was laid up at Faslane in December 1945, and broken up from 1948.
