She was originally to have been built by Barclay Curle on the Clyde, but that Yard had obtained a Czech order for a bulk carrier at the same time, so she ended up being built at the same Yard as her sisters. Named after a headland on the NE coast of Scotland which separates the Cromarty and Dornoch Firths
