One our favourite ‘tripod lights’, back in stock. Industrial ships salvage steel and brass fox light reclaimed from the Japanese merchant Navy. Solid brass fittings with steel body and glass face, adapted and mounted on a wooden field tripod with solid brass fittings.
Now this is an anchor! Coming soon to the website, but firstly via our exclusive newsletter, ‘The Minesweeper Selection’. An array of rare gorgeous gun-metal bronze fittings that we sourced from Royal Navy Minesweepers over the years, the ‘star of the show’ being the 200lb 5ft tall Danforth Anchor. To sign up for our newsletter, which will give you 1st dibs on our most exciting discoveries, please contact us with your email address and we’ll add you to it. Please note, no prices for these items above will be mentioned until forthcoming newsletter and website release. #royalnavy #minesweeper #rareship #bronze #anchor #chain #ship #hms #warship #rn

Purchase of the week. The helm from USS Anderton, originally a ‘Menhaden Fisherman’ built in 1911, then requisitioned by the US navy for the ‘War to end all Wars’. Sent to the coast of France, she rescued, cleared mines for troopships and listened for submarines. Since drifting mines were unaware of the end to hostilities, sweeping had to continue in the weeks following the armistice to make sure that shipping could travel safely. Finally, in the spring of 1919, when their work in France had finally been completed, Anderton and her sister ships prepared for the voyage home.
A vent full, to say the least...
Oarsome load nearly complete ...
