19th c. Prisoner of War Straw Sewing Box

Straw box, beautifully inlaid made by French Prisoners of War, held in Britain during the Napoleonic Wars.

Parts of the inlay are missing, but as to be expected given its age, and it has been used and comes with a selection of threads and needlecraft accessories from the mid century.

A detailed craft box from the 19th century when prisoners of the Napoleonic War were gaoled in England.
