Visiting Us
Our Trinity Marine ‘home port’ is situated deep in the beautiful Teign Valley, 20 miles or so outside of Exeter, in the Devon countryside. This is our extensive ‘HQ’ and home to our gargantuan warehouses, the workshops where our Trinity restoration ‘magic’ happens, our offices and two extensive showrooms where we’re always delighted to welcome visitors. It’s here you can peruse our extremely extensive on-show stock, and discuss your own projects, plans, interests and needs with us.
From the moment you arrive at our gates, you just know you’re at Trinity Marine. Huge anchors adorn our parking spots and there’s often a torpedo or two to welcome you to our grounds.
Within our two regularly changing showrooms we house two main collections – one sports our statement lighting collection and our home décor collections including period furniture, porthole mirrors and all manner of accessories.
Within our other showroom, you’ll discover our historic collections – with our naval history area and our diving antiques section, all of which contain marine collectables on a vast and detailed scale.
This is where sailing, naval and diving history and craftsmanship truly comes to life and where we will forever hold a Trinity Marine passion for detail, and for the story that sits behind every significant item.

By Car
Our key advice to car drivers is to avoid approaching Trinity Marine via Haldon Hill and Doddiscombsleigh village. These roads are narrow, rough and very steep in several places so are best avoided.
However, most satnavs and route planning websites are not clever enough to realise
this, so we definitely recommend that you follow our advice for a smooth journey to Scattor Rock.
Our postcode is EX6 7YT – a code we share with other properties along the Sheldon Lane, and it’s fair to say that we are difficult to miss once you are on the lane.
From the A30 / Exeter side
If you approach Trinity Marine via Exeter or the A30, our advice is to take the B3212 through Longdown, to turn left onto the B3193 and follow it South and then South East until you reach the Teign House Inn. There, turn left and follow the road over a wide bridge then a narrow humped bridge and turn left onto Sheldon Lane.
Devon Expressway / A38
If you approach Trinity Marine via the Devon Expressway/A38, take the Chudleigh/Teign Valley turning, turn right and right again to follow the B3193 North for 6 miles until you reach the Teign House Inn. Turn right here and follow the road over a wide bridge then a narrow humped bridge and turn left onto Sheldon Lane.
Either route is okay coming from the M5, but in our opinion, the second (A38) one is the easier.

Our Surroundings
We are situated in Devon in the beautiful Teign Valley on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park with everything from pretty villages, countryside hikes and stunning drives to nearby coastal and seaside towns – all of which are worth a visit. So, if you’re coming to see us, we definitely recommend you consider making a day or a night of it, and enjoying some of the places and spaces on our stunning doorstep.
We have charming villages including Christow, Dunsford, Ashton, and Bridford dotted throughout the valley. With country pubs, independent shops, and pretty surrounds, you get a real feel for old-school Devonshire life.
If serious walking is your thing, then routes like the Two Moors Way and Teign Gorge Walk offer spectacular views and insta-worthy landscapes. For those who just fancy a wander, relaxing strolls along the River Teign are to be had, rich with local wildlife and picture-perfect picnic spots.
Dartmoor National Park
Dartmoor National Park – all 368 square miles of it. From its striking granite tors and steep wooded river valleys, to swathes of heather-covered moorland and hidden villages, Dartmoor is a land of contrasts – and just up the road from us.
Canonteign Falls
Just down the road from us in the heart of Devon’s Teign Valley these natural and manmade waterfalls tumble down ancient rock formations to meet the tranquil lakes below, offering up some of the most spectacular waterfall and woodland scenery in Devon.
Haldon Forest Park
Again, not far from our Trinity Marine doorstep, within 3,500 acres of woodland, Haldon Forest Park is ideal whether you want a quiet gentle stroll or an exhilarating mountain biking experience. With a range of walking and cycling trails to suit all abilities, as well as a pump loop, cycle skills area, orienteering courses, it’s a pretty cool spot for outdoor adventure enthusiasts.

Powderham Castle
Now playing host to music festivals and events, Powderham Castle, a manor house that combines a medieval military exterior with opulent Victorian furnishings, is also a good spot for nature trails, birds of prey displays and deer safaris
Dawlish Warren
Long cherished as one of the UK’s finest beach resorts, Dawlish Warren has an idyllic time-honoured English seaside holiday feel with sand dunes and an internationally recognised nature reserve.
