1980's Naval Station Pointer. With all its extension arms and in its original box. Label and serial number showing. Great training aid or collectable.
The station pointer allows an observers location to be plotted on a chart by measuring with a sextant the relative angles of three known objects like land features from the observers position and setting the movable arms to the observed angles.
