80’s Korean Cargo Ships Pendant Light

This large vintage industrial pendant light features a wide spun-aluminium reflector shade with small abrasions commensurate with a hard life at sea. Salvaged from relatively modern cargo ship built in Korea in the 80’s.

Polished aluminium top and heavy-duty yoke suspension. Bolts on yoke can be tightened to adjust angle of lamp if need be. Originally used to illuminate loading areas of the ship, more souls nd warmth than your average ‘land-locked’ factory lamp making it ideal for loft apartments, restaurants, retail spaces, or contemporary interiors seeking character and heritage.

The original old fitting has been replaced with modern British made CE certified E27 fitting, ready to simply wire.

Please note: with the large cargo lights the lamp holder is deep inside the lamp and therefore an average sized bulb will not reach the reflecting shade resulting in a glow from the lamp rather than a strong beam providing lots of light. Long neck E27 bulbs can be sourced to provide a stronger light but we do not stock these.
