Rare military compasses from old old MOD stocks. Manufactured by TG & CO LTD during World War II, making it a valuable and collectible piece of militaria. Its significance lies in its use by Army servicemen during the conflict. The compass has since been used and has some minor wear, but it remains functional and intact.
The compass is a type of magnetic marching compass, which was an essential tool for navigation during military operations. Its quality and reliability were crucial in determining the success of a mission. This particular compass would make an excellent addition to any collection of military antiques or memorabilia. Made of black Bakelite with all the original markings, including the MOD arrow and serial number. The compass pictured is a average condition piece and not the specific one you will receive but they are all of a similar condition and in good working order.
