Original unofficial Royal Navy boat badge from HMS Concord 1916.
HMS Concord was a C-class light cruiser that saw service during the First World War. HMS Concord was assigned to the 5th Light Cruiser Squadron, which operated as part of Harwich Force in the North Sea to defend the eastern approaches to the Strait of Dover and English Channel. She remained in the squadron through the end of the war in November 1918 and until March 1919. After the death of the exiled King Manuel II of Portugal, she transported his coffin to Lisbon, Portugal in 1932. HMS Concord was decommissioned in January 1933 and placed under dockyard control.
Unofficial badge design, as the badge pre dates the standardisation of all Royal Navy badges that came into effect in 1919. Before the standardisation a senior rank or the crew itself decided on the design that would be on the badge. The dimensions below show the overall size including the mount. The badge itself measures 18cm in diameter.
