HMS Contest was a C-class Destroyer was built by J. Samuel White, Cowes. Commissioned on 9 November 1945, she was the Royal Navy's first all-welded warship and was scrapped in 1960.
This is what we would call sailor made, made onboard in the ships foundry to give to guest dignitaries or loved ones.
