Original ships crown top badge from HMS Fareham. HMS Fareham was a Hunt-class minesweeper of the Aberdare sub-class J89 built by Dunlop Bremner & Co Glasgow 1918. She was not finished in time to participate in the First World War and survived the Second World War to be sold for scrap in 1948. Renamed St Angelo II, acting as a minesweeping base ship 1944-45.
This badge came in just as the official badges were set by the Admiralty and would of been one of the first.
