Dockyard spare, never issued. HMS Leander (F109) was a Royal Navy frigate of the Leander-class, commissioned in 1963. Built by HM Dockyard in Devonport, she was the lead ship of her class and designed for anti-submarine warfare, general patrol duties, and escort missions.
Throughout her service, HMS Leander participated in various NATO exercises and Cold War-era deployments, operating in European waters and beyond. She was decommissioned in 1989 and later scrapped, marking the end of her service history.
