From the Ferrers-Walker collection, a very rare significant artefact from a very special ship of the Royal Navy, one of the four ceremonial gun tompions from HMS Milne, Sicily Invasion and Normandy Landings hero. Removed at the point of decommissioning and mounted on teak plaque for display. Acquired by famous Royal Navy collector Ferrers-Walker and once on loan to the Portsmouth Naval Museum.

HMS Milne (G14) was an M-class destroyer built for the Royal Navy and commissioned in 1942. Serving as leader of the 3rd Destroyer Flotilla, she escorted Arctic and Atlantic convoys, supported the Allied invasion of Sicily and the Normandy landings, and conducted operations in the Mediterranean and Aegean. After the Second World War, she continued in Royal Navy service before being placed in reserve. HMS Milne was decommissioned in 1958 and sold for scrapping in 1959, having provided distinguished wartime service across several major theatres.
