HMS Sandwich (L12) Sloop Screen Badge 'With a Lions Face’ The beautiful main badge, the 'Screen Badge’, from HMS Sandwich. Two significant Battle Honours from WW2 ATLANTIC 1939-44 - NORTH AFRICA 1942. Bridgewater Class Escort Sloop. Built Hawthorne Leslie, Newcastle 1927.
On completion of build on 23rd March 1929 this Sloop was immediately deployed on the China Station and did not return to UK until after the outbreak of WW2.
