HMS Shakespeare was a Thornycroft type destroyer leader launched in 1917 and was one of five flotilla leaders of the Shakespeare class.
HMS Shakespeare was recommissioned at Port Edgar in 1920, reduced to Reserve in 1925, and Commissioned again in 1928. Later in her service career, HMS Shakespeare was handed over to the breakers in part-payment for RMS Majestic in 1936, and was scrapped. Unofficial, as this badge pre dates the Admiralty standardisation of Royal Navy badges in 1919.
