Huge Bronze Dolphin Bell Brackets Ex HMS Dolphin.
A very special find amongst a bulk purchase of submarine related items from a big collector who used to buy from the MOD and Pounds of Portsmouth in order to garnish his theme park on the south coast.
These large dolphins formed the uprights for one of the shore base bells of HMS Dolphin. The wooden brackets were added after the shore base was closed in 1998 and at some point the cross bar went amiss, remaining though are very special brackets that can be used as a bell hanger or transformed into something else.
