One of the most beautiful wardroom badges I’ve ever seen, and a badge that would have been rattling against the bulkhead of this early Destroyers’ Wardroom during the intense Battle of Jutland. The very rare unofficial pre 1918 style badge.
HMS Champion (1915) was a C-class light cruiser of the Royal Navy, launched in 1915 during World War I. She served with the Grand Fleet, notably taking part in the Battle of Jutland, where she engaged German forces and survived without major damage. After the war, Champion continued in active service, including operations in the Mediterranean and support roles in the Russian Civil War.
