P&O SS Canberra Porcelain Soup Cups – Pair
Elegant original two-handled porcelain soup cups, specially designed for P&O’s celebrated ocean liner SS Canberra (1961–1997).
Manufactured by Chinacraft Royal Porcelain, these attractive bouillon cups feature the distinctive P&O rising sun emblem in gold, flanked by fine double gold bands. Their traditional twin-handled design was intended for serving soups and consommés in the ship’s dining rooms.
Each bears the manufacturer’s back stamp, specifically marked “Designed for P&O Canberra”.
SS Canberra enjoyed a distinguished career as a luxury passenger liner and cruise ship, famously serving as a troopship during the 1982 Falklands War.
A wonderful piece of authentic ocean liner tableware, recalling the elegance of dining at sea aboard one of Britain’s most famous passenger ships.
This listing is for a pair.
