P&O SS Oriana Original Wedgwood Oval Serving Plates - Pair
Elegant original oval porcelain serving plates produced by the prestigious British manufacturer Wedgwood for P&O’s celebrated ocean liner SS Oriana (1960–1986).
Manufactured in England from fine bone china, these attractive plates feature the ship’s name, ORIANA, beneath P&O’s distinctive rising sun emblem, beautifully complemented by fine double gold bands.
The reverse bears the Wedgwood backstamp, marked “Bone China – For Fine Hotels and Restaurants – Made in England.”
SS Oriana was one of Britain’s most famous passenger liners, entering service in 1960 on the prestigious route between Britain and Australia before enjoying a successful career as a cruise ship.
A wonderful example of authentic ocean liner tableware, recalling the elegance and sophistication of dining aboard one of P&O’s most celebrated ships.
Perfect for collectors of maritime memorabilia, Wedgwood porcelain and classic British ocean liner history.
