A cased waterline model of a 19th century Mississippi paddle steamer the St Louis Belle. An extremely beautiful Diorama, with detailed decks and railings, it is perfect for display and decor.
Packet boats were very important because they were used to carry crops up and down the rivers. Many river towns were built near large southern plantations to make getting crops to packet boats easier.
