In it's original case with beautiful trade label. Superb condition throughout. Towing type. Tubular shape with nose cone and integral 4 bladed rotator with reinforcing straps. Tail is cone shaped. Rotary slide twists to reveal 3 dials on porcelain face.

Body inscribed in red lettering "Edwa Massey's Frictionless Log 13001". Length 21 inches. Unpolished. The original box but label is for "Frictionless Propeller Conical-End Log."History Patented in 1865 and production ceased in 1903. Similar to advertisement in Heath 1905.Massey ceased operations in 1903.The trade mark of three L's stood for Log, Lead and Lookout as per The Mariner's Creed.
