The ‘Rolls Royce’ of ships pulley blocks, the Admiralty pulley blocks from Wartime Royal Navy. A few years ago we sought out the last remaining stock of these in the World from most famous Naval outfitters in Portsmouth, yards from Portsmouth Naval dockyard where they were originally made and we were delighted to eventually secure them. Shells crafted from the finest golden Burmese teak rather than inferior hardwoods, and sheaves cast from the best gun-metal bronze as opposes to the typical iron found in the merchant navy they are simply the best, and most beautiful.

Quality, provenance and appeal; made at the beginning of the 1900’s with a ‘blank chequebook approach’ towards both materials and craftsmanship resulting in not only very finest example of warship chandlery but also a sculptural beauty that brings a sense of maritime heritage into any space.

This particular pulley has been through a complete overhaul in our workshop, completely stripped, refurbished and reassembled resulting in it appearing just as it did when it left ‘Block Mills’ over a hundred years ago.
