Presented in its original box, this sextant is made by famous Naval instrument makers, Henry Hughes & Son and is from our Royal Navy. 

If you are looking for one to use , the unpolished are normally easier to re calibrate. But we also have these available in silver scale and brass, we have taken some to the polisher to remove the war paint and had them professionally polished up. We obtained large quantities of these ex Reserve Stock Ministry Sextants, which means we are able to pass on a discount to our customers

H.Hughes is a renowned maker of quality instruments for the Admiralty , which at the time of ordering cost the Ministry £3,725 each sextant. We have had some of the sextants stripped of their war paint and professionally polished.
