Built in 1981 by Verolme Brasil for Docenave, the MV Docebruma (IMO 7526584) was a 242-metre Brazilian bulk carrier. Designed as a Panamax-class vessel with a deadweight of approximately 75,500 tons, it served as a key asset in Brazil’s mineral export trade.
A notable incident occurred in April 1988, when the ship collided with the ISCOTT jetty in Trinidad and Tobago, causing extensive structural damage. After three decades of service, the vessel was sold for scrap and arrived at the ship-breaking yards in Alang, India, in 2012.
