Built in 1982 by the Brodosplit Shipyard in Yugoslavia, the Intermar Trader (IMO 7932513) was a 194-metre single-hull product tanker. With a deadweight of approximately 45,000 tons, it spent three decades transporting oil under various names, including Apamate, TN Emerald, and W.S. Challenger.
The vessel’s later years were marked by multiple port detentions for safety violations across Europe and the US. Due to its aging single-hull design, it was eventually banned from EU waters in 2005. It was retired from service and sold for scrapping in 2008.
Bell has no clanger and hook for clanger.
