This style of ‘telegraph’, the hammerhead, is a favourite here. Originally developed by Siemens for the Royal Navy, replacing circular glass that shattered due to gunfire, then taken on by esteemed ships of the Merchant Navy.
Sumptuous gun-metal bronze rather than brass, gorgeous build quality. Originally it would have been fixed in engine room to show all crew the exact position of the rudder.
