An icon of the Sea, a sculptural and functional marvel, in as original condition as you could possibly find.

One that I kept for myself, having had first pick when my Father bought over 500 beacons from Trinity House in the 90’s when buoys went to solar from gas. This version is one of the very early ones that were made by Chance Brothers in the 20’s/30’s, my preferred maker.

The beacon is a ‘200’ model, the diameter of the cut lens inside, made by AGA, the ‘Rolls Royce’ of buoy beacons and in the middle of the Trinity House beacon range. The stand is hand crafted by a professional blacksmith here in South Devon and is inspired by the frame work of the original buoys. Fully lit with flex, plug and inline switch. Takes an E27 bulb. Removable orange ‘special mark’ glass filter.
