A complete Vion Yachting towed ship’s log, housed in its original fitted wooden case with the original instruction booklet and towing line. Designed to measure a vessel’s speed and distance through the water, the log was towed astern, where its impeller drove the internal mechanism and displayed the distance travelled on the clear enamel dial.

This example appears substantially complete and retains its original case, line, and accessories, making it an increasingly scarce survival.
