Beautiful example of late 19th century or very early 20th century ships dining chair. The chair is not quite the same as the Titanic or Olympic pattern but very similar, and with the less ornate pedestal and feet we suggest that this is a 2nd Class chair from a predecessor like the SS Romanic. Apart from a very small piece of the low backrest missing the chair is in fantastic condition considering its use and age. An excellent example of late 19th-century maritime furniture, combining craftsmanship with practical design. Ideal for collectors of nautical antiques, period interiors, yacht clubs, or as a distinctive statement piece in a home or office.
The overall chair dimensions are featured below. The seat height is 55cm.
