HMS Forth was a submarine depot ship
Built by John Brown and Company, Clydebank ,Scotland
In 1953 HMS Forth took park in the Fleet Review to celebrate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth ll
She left Malta in 1960
HMS Forth was adapted to maintain the Royal Navy’s nuclear powered submarines at HM Chatham Dockyard between 1962 and 1966
In 1968 she transported the first hovercraft to Australia
